Parenting can feel overwhelming — especially when court involvement, co-parenting challenges, or added stress are part of your current situation.
The Positive Pathways Parenting Program is a structured, educational parenting course created to help parents build practical skills, improve communication, and better understand their child’s needs. The program is respectful, non-judgmental, and focused on tools that can be used right away.
This course meets general Florida court parenting education requirements. Final acceptance is at the discretion of the presiding judge.
Who This Program is For
This program is appropriate for:
Parents ordered by the court to complete a parenting education class
Parents involved in custody or family court matters
Co-parents seeking to improve communication and cooperation
Caregivers who want to strengthen parenting skills
No prior parenting education is required.
What You Will Learn
Participants will receive education and practical guidance on:
Basic child development and age-appropriate expectations
Clear and respectful communication with children
Positive discipline strategies that support consistency and follow-through
Identifying parenting stress and learning healthy ways to respond
Creating structure, routines, and safety within the home
Understanding how conflict and stress can affect children’s behavior and emotions
All content is educational and skills-based. This class is designed to meet court requirements for a 4-hour parenting education program.
The 6- hour course allows additional time for discussion and practice.

Court Acceptance: Commonly accepted by Polk County and Lake County courts*
*Final acceptance is determined by the presiding judge or court.

About the Provider
This program is offered by Mahogany Jays Wellness and facilitated by Denitra, a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
With a background in family care and behavioral health education, the program is designed to be informative, supportive, and respectful of each parent’s situation. The focus is on education, growth, and practical skill-building — not judgment.
